Commissions are a great honour and privilege to create. I love finding out why a client has chosen a specific piece of music, the story that connects the music to the painting. This information always influences and finds its way into the final painting, making the finished work so very special and unique.

I have done commissions to celebrate weddings, birthdays, leaving jobs, academic achievements and to commemorate loved ones. I have created paintings of music that connects to a specific event in someone’s life where they overcame adversity or recovered after illness or injury. The task of creating a painting to honour a special event or period in someone’s life is an important responsibility and a privilege that I regard as a highlight of my work.

Since my discovery of Michael Harding’s new Miracle Medium, I am now painting in oils as well as acrylics. This new medium is safe and environmentally friendly. Oils have different depths and blending properties to acrylics.

So for commissions I am now offering to do them in either oils or acrylics.
